Low Milk Production Support Group

Experts say that on average 95% of women can successfully breastfeed. But what about the 5% of mother's who have tried everything in their power and still face low milk production? These are the amazing and persistent mothers this new mother's group is for.

Soon, the San Antonio Natural Parents group and Breastfeeding Housecalls will offer moms a creative and comfortable place where mothers who experience milk supply concerns can be supported, validated and encouraged. This is a group where healing happens and where breastfeeding loss/low milk supply (past or present) can be grieved and individual breastfeeding successes can be owned. Its a group for mothers from all approaches to mothering and all birthing experiences...

Discussion topics for understanding low milk production may include:

-"High milk supply" and "good mothering" are not synonymous
    -Biology of decreased milk supply
-Birth-related events and low milk production
-Health events which can cause low milk production
-Being the 5% in the 95% world

Support group meeting times and dates are to be determined soon! Please check back often!
